Bonjour y’all. Relaxing at my parents house in Arizona, where only my mother lives, contemplating my somewhat new life. Lots of emotions to balance but I could not be happier here with my family. I’ve missed my maman so much, but living with my dad this summer was a blessing; god bless hearing aids (when not in use) and men who will mind their own business. I am excited to return to school and my apartment, but the few days I’m here I will enjoy a little TLC, provided by my sweet mother. Not to mention a shopping spree. hashtag spoiled.

Much needed pedicure tomorrow and then some apartment shopping. My life is new and fresh and I am optimistic about the future; priorities shall be sorted. Hmmm what else? I am two times an aunt, soon to be three, and nothing makes me happier, because they love me best. Is there nothing better than being loved more than anyone else? I don’t think so.

Kids These Days of the Day: We knew it! A new study published in the journal Pediatrics has found that infants living in households with dogs are healthier and have fewer infections.

Though cats also appear to offer some immune protections, the link isn’t as strong.

The study, based on 397 children who live in Finland, found that “the children having dogs at home were healthier, they had less ear infections and they needed less antibiotics,” reports pediatrician Eija Bergroth, the study’s lead author.

Parents shouldn’t feel guilty about having or not having a pet when their child is young. If you want a pet, get a pet.

of a lot of shameful things. Totally loving Fifty Shades of Grey. Like really, I’m into it, and I feel bad. Secondly, I tweeted at Miley Cyrus, about something having to do with the next book, and then proceeded to watch The Last Song and cried, mmm bawled more like, for literally the last half of the movie. Uh Liam and Miley, I die.

Anyway, I’m loving spending time with my family and my dog and being a weirdo while I’m cooped up here in AZ. Looking forward to some more Milwaukee time and getting back to some good old snuggling and smoking a bowl. And then maybe starting to REALLY train for my half marathon…
